obi202 File sharing

Hello
I can share file through obi202 file sharing but it seems to be limited to my router’s range/ internal wireless network. Is there a way that can allow me to share files outside my limited network?

However, the information is not enough for the file sharing outside my limited network?

Once you have this working you'll probably want to be able to access your share OUTSIDE your local network (outside your home or office).  In order to do this you will need to do some Port Forwarding.   If you don't know how to do this you may want to Google it.   I won't be giving a tutorial for that in this short post (although I'll do a separate post if there is enough demand).   Essentially what you want to do is have your router send all http: traffic to your public IP (can be checked on services like http://whatismyipaddress.com) to the internal IP of the Obihai 202 device (the IP you used earlier). 

It looks like you need to port forward port 80 to your OBi unit (Default http port of the OBi unit web page).

Sorry, didn’t get it. Where do I have to make changes: In my router setting ,or in the Obi web page setting. I am not using obi202 as router.

Jogi,

Port forward on the router assigning the DHCP. There is a dependency for this to work. You will need to set up a Dynamic DNS or DDNS client in the router. Most routers have one built in. If you can reach the router over the internet, then you can have the router forward to the OBi. You will need to change the default port of the OBi from port 80 to perhaps 8080 since your router probably also uses  port 80 (or change the http port number of the router).
